On April 14, 2013 Denver defeated Portland by a score of 118-109.

DENVER — On this day in 2013 the Denver Nuggets reached new heights.

April 14 will go down in history as the team won a franchise record 55th game by knocking off Portland 118-109. Denver would go on to win 57 games in 2013, which is still the most ever in a single season.

Unfortunately, the first round wasn't kind to the Nuggets again, as they lost in six games to the Golden State Warriors.
