Many Colorado school districts closed again Friday as snow leaves mess behind

The schools were closed for a second day as a winter storm impacted Colorado.

DENVER — Dozens of schools, businesses and government offices were closed for a second day Friday while a strong spring snowstorm impacted Colorado.

Denver Public Schools, Cherry Creek Schools, Douglas County School District, Jeffco Public Schools, and Boulder Valley School District were among the districts closed Friday due to the snow. Those schools were also closed Thursday.

Two large districts, Poudre School District and Aurora Public Schools, are on spring break this week. 

A winter weather storm system arrived in Colorado Wednesday evening and continued to impact the state into Friday.
