Pedestrian hit, killed in crash in west Denver

The driver stayed on the scene of the crash that happened about noon Thursday.

DENVER — Federal Boulevard was back open in both directions at West 10th Avenue on Thursday afternoon after a pedestrian was hit and killed, according to police.

The pedestrian died in the crash that happened just before noon in west Denver, a Denver Police Department spokesperson said. He has been identified as Felipe Garcia, 60. 

The driver stayed on scene, and the cause of the crash was under investigation, police said.

Federal was closed while Denver Police investigated. The road was reopened by 3:30 p.m.
