GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Cherry Creek girls basketball wants another state championship trophy.
And on Tuesday night, they took the next step.
The No. 2 seeded Bruins knocked off No. 15 Cherokee Trail by a score of 72-32 in the 5A Sweet 16 to advance to the Great Eight on Friday night.
Creek will face Ralston Valley at the Denver Coliseum after the Mustangs handled Columbine in their Sweet 16 game on Tuesday.
