Sunday morning Prep Rally (3/1/20)

The Sunday Prep Rally has highlights from boys and girls playoff basketball, playoff hockey, state skiing, and a story of a father and son officiating together.

DENVER — The Sunday Prep Rally is in playoff mode! We start with second-round boys basketball action, before crowning champions on the ski slopes. Our playoff hockey coverage is bittersweet: Regis Jesuit wins its first game in honor of its coach, who lost his son Tuesday night. Finally, we finish with another father-son story. The duo takes the mats together for the first and last time to officiate a state wrestling match.

Included in the Sunday Prep Rally:

  • Valor boys basketball hosts Rocky Mountain in second-round action
  • Manual outlasts Faith Christian in the 3A districts
  • Denver South's Carly Dilworth is a finalist for a March Madness contest
  • Aspen wins the state skiing team title and six individual titles
  • Regis Jesuit hockey wins its first game in honor of their coach's late son
  • George Washington girls basketball wins a nailbiter over Ponderosa
  • A father refs a final match alongside his son at state wrestling before he retires
  • We crown our Honor Roll winner
