Colorado election results: Lauren Boebert, Trisha Calvarese compete for House seat in CD4

Here are the latest election results in Colorado U.S. House District 4.

COLORADO, USA — Colorado voters in Congressional District 4 decided who would be their new representative at the polls Tuesday.

Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert faced Democratic challenger Trisha Calvarese in the general election to determine who will fill former Congressman Ken Buck's seat. The seat is currently occupied by Republican Greg Lopez, who won a special election in June.

Calvarese has worked for the U.S. Civil Service and The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). She grew up in Highlands Ranch and was the Democratic nominee for the 4th District's special vacancy election to fill out the remainder of Buck's term this year. She lost to Boebert-endorsed candidate Lopez.

Boebert is endorsed by former President and current Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Boebert switched from her former congressional district, Colorado's 3rd, after winning the 2022 election by only 546 votes. The 4th district encompasses Douglas County, parts of Larimer and Weld counties, and the Eastern Plains. Its voter makeup is 47% unaffiliated, 35% Republican and 17% Democrat, making it a "safer" Republican seat than CD3.

There were also three candidates running for the seat from minor parties:

Frank Atwood is on the ballot under the Approval Voting Party, a single-issue party dedicated to implementing a system in the U.S. where voters can select one or more candidates on their ballot. It was recognized as a minor party in Colorado in 2019.

Hannah Goodman, chairwoman of Colorado's Libertarian Party, is running on the Libertarian ticket.

Arts educator Paul Fiorino is running on the Unity Party ticket. Fiorino has run several unsuccessful campaigns in Colorado in the past, including bids for Denver mayor, governor of Colorado, U.S. Senate and U.S. House.
