2 adults, 2 children killed in crash between UTV and truck in Morgan County

The crash happened Wednesday afternoon at Morgan County roads C and 31 south of Brush.

MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. — Four people were killed when a UTV and a truck collided Wednesday afternoon in Morgan County.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said their preliminary investigation showed that the Polaris RZR UTV, which had four people inside, was headed north on Morgan County Road 31. The UTV's driver disregarded a stop sign at County Road C and was hit by a Dodge Ram 5500 which was headed west on County Road C, CSP said.

All four people on the UTV were killed in the crash, troopers said. CSP said they were: Brandon Adkins, 22, Destiny Rios, also 22, and their children a 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old child.

The driver of the Ram suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The crash scene is about 19 miles south of the town of Brush, and about four and a half miles northeast of Woodrow in Washington County.

CSP said alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
