DENVER — The Denver Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened near Speer Boulevard and Colfax Avenue.
Denver Police first posted about the crash on the social platform X at 12:23 a.m. on Thursday. It happened at around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.
A driver and a pedestrian were involved in the crash. The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to the hospital. In an update just before 10 a.m., police said the woman had died.
The driver involved in the crash turned himself in. Denver Police have not released his identity. He is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and fleeing the scene of a crash. The investigation is still ongoing.
