Denver Police looking for driver involved in hit-and-run crash

The crash happened near North Speer Boulevard and West Colfax Avenue, according to police.

DENVER — One person was injured after a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning in Denver.

The crash happened near West Colfax Avenue and North Speer Boulevard involving a car and a scooter, according to police. One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle and asking anyone who may have information about the crash to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
