COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — While the details of a plea agreement are not public yet, court records show the YouTuber who bragged about traveling between Denver and Colorado Springs in 20 minutes is making a deal with prosecutors.
On Thursday, court records show prosecutors filed a motion indicating a plea deal has been reached with Rendon Dietzmann, 32. Court clerks in El Paso County told 9NEWS they couldn’t disclose the details of the plea deal motion because it hasn’t been accepted by the judge yet.
Dietzmann is expected in court in late April to be sentenced. That’s if the judge accepts whatever plea deal has been established.
Dietzmann was arrested in Texas on a Colorado warrant in February for reaching speeds up over 150 mph as he traveled north on Interstate 25. In a video he uploaded to YouTube, Dietzmann can be seen darting between numerous vehicles.
Investigators identified Dietzmann through cellphone tower records and convenience store security camera footage, which placed him in the location the day when he recorded his video.
Calls to the El Paso County District Attorney's Office were not returned, and Dietzmann has not responded to a request for comment.
Since his arrest, Dietzmann has sold shirts online in which he calls himself “Colorado’s Most Wanted.”
