COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — One male was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting that occurred inside a Colorado Springs mall on Christmas Eve.
The shooting happened at about 4:35 p.m., minutes before the Citadel Mall was set to close, a spokesperson for the Colorado Springs Police Department said.
Police said the incident all began when two groups of people began fighting. At least one of the people involved in the fight pulled a gun and began firing, according to police.
One of the people shot was pronounced dead inside the mall, two others were rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, CSPD said. A woman involved in the incident was also taken to a hospital with injuries, but her injuries were not from being shot, CSPD's spokesperson said.
