DENVER — More than 200 flights were delayed at Denver International Airport on Sunday.
As of 7 p.m. on Sunday, 239 flights were delayed and three were canceled, according to FlightAware.
Impacted airlines included United, Southwest, SkyWest, American Airlines and Delta.
TSA spokesperson Lorie Dankers said that the same amount of staffing is now being spread out among new lanes.
She said that DIA has had a high number of travelers Sunday, leading to longer lines. She recommends travelers allow for at least an hour to get through security checkpoints as the airport deals with a high volume of travelers.
