DENVER — Denver police said they are looking for a blue sports car that may have been involved in a crash that closed Interstate 25 for over an hour Friday night.
Denver police said in a tweet that a motorcycle crashed near I-25 and Santa Fe Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. The driver was brought to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are looking for a blue sports car that may have been involved in the crash, police said. They did not have any other description of the vehicle or other details on how they believe it may have been involved.
Southbound I-25 was closed at Santa Fe for about an hour and a half while police investigated the crash.
Anyone with information about what happened or the sports car is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers are notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
