The rider was traveling west on Rock Creek Drive from Ziegler Road and crashed at the intersection with Corbett Drive. Police said the man was not wearing a helmet and they believe speed contributed to the crash.

He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The Larimer County Coroner's Office will release the rider's name at a later time.

Law enforcement closed the intersection for a little more than three hours while investigators were on the scene.

Anyone with information about the motorcycle collision, who has not already given a statement to police, is asked to contact Officer Drew Jurkofsky at 970-416-2224.
