Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Lakewood

The crash happened at the intersection of West 14th Avenue and Carr Street, according to police.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — The Lakewood Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian last Tuesday night. 

At about 11:49 p.m. Tuesday, Lakewood Police responded to the intersection of West 14th Avenue and Carr Street for a report of an auto-pedestrian crash, according to police. The pedestrian, identified as 41-year-old Donald Jones of Edgewater, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

Witnesses told police a man was driving a silver or gold 2000 to 2005 Chevy Impala eastbound on West 14th Avenue when the car hit Jones. No license plate number was given for the car, police said.
