LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A person involved in an off-road vehicle accident was flown to the hospital after a four-hour rescue operation in Larimer County Saturday.
Poudre Fire Authority said they received reports just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday of an off-road vehicle rollover with a patient pinned by his arm. He was in a remote location near West County Road 54E and North County Road 25E, between Bellvue and Ted's Place northwest of Fort Collins.
Dispatchers used the Prepared Live 911 system, which allows a person to live stream video from their phone to help first responders find them.
Poudre Fire Authority crews worked with UCHealth EMS, UCHealth Lifeline, Larimer County Emergency Services and the Larimer County Sheriff's Office to extricate and transport him.
With the help of winching and extrication tools, they were able to free him. At around 6:35 p.m., he was flown to the hospital by helicopter after what PFA said was an "extensive carry out process."
