Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. couldn't pull off the classic 12 vs. 5 upset.
Porter fell in the first round of the NBA 2K tournament on Sunday night by a final score of 85-75 to Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. The league is looking for ways to keep eyes on it during the coronavirus pandemic.
The two players didn't play with their own teams as Porter selected the Los Angeles Lakers and Booker picked the Milwaukee Bucks. Porter did say on the live broadcast he was saving the Nuggets for the championship game – a match he will not be taking part in.
Porter was seeded No. 12 and Booker No. 5, so the bracket played out how the seeding expected. Booker led by six points at halftime, eight after the third quarter and held on for the 10 point victory.
