Story, Blackmon, Dahl join Arenado on All-Star roster

The Colorado Rockies have tied their club record for All-Stars.

CLEVELAND — Colorado Rockies Charlie Blackmon, David Dahl and Trevor Story have been named as National League reserves for next week's All-Star Game.

Joining National League starter Nolan Arenado in Cleveland, the four Rockies in the "Midsummer Classic" ties the 2017 club record for All-Stars.

The 2019 All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 at 5:30 p.m. MT.

"I've never seen this much young talent in the game," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, who will lead the NL. "There's a lot of fun players to watch — talented and the personalities from some of these young players."

The National League's oldest elected starters are 29-year-old Freddie Freeman from Atlanta and 28-year-old Arenado.

"Some of these young players are unbelievable players," Arenado said. "We're fortunate to be in this time, when you get to see how good they are."
