DENVER — Fans of the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets will have to wait longer to be able to get a local streaming option. Altitude Sports said its streaming app, Altitude+, is not yet ready to release.

The sports channel said it's putting the app through more testing and working to secure app store approvals.

The Altitude+ app was announced at the same time as it was announced that 9NEWS would be airing a total of 40 games between the Avs and the Nuggets.

Altitude+ covers the channel's nine-state broadcast territory. It costs $19.99/month for viewers who do not have Altitude through their cable or satellite provider. The app is free for those who do already have Altitude via cable or satellite.
