AURORA, Colo. — Playoff madness is officially here!
No. 7 seed Smoky Hill and No. 10 Regis Jesuit clashed Saturday afternoon in an overtime thriller for the Class 6A boys basketball Sweet 16. The Buffaloes erased a fourth-quarter deficit to force the extra frame and come away with the 70-61 victory on their home court.
With the win, Smoky Hill punches its ticket to the Denver Coliseum, where it will meet No. 2 Mountain Vista in the Great Eight.
Regis Jesuit's season ends with a 16-9 overall record.
