On this day in sports: Jennifer Kupcho wins inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur

On April 6, 2019, Kupcho won the first ever edition of tournament by four strokes.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — One year ago today Colorado native Jennifer Kupcho made history by winning the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur tournament. 

Kupcho birdied the 18th hole and won by four strokes over the next closest golfer. 

Kupcho, a Jefferson Academy alum, turned professional prior to the start of the 2019 U.S. Women's Open.
