The Summit County Coroner is working to determine how a man who was found unresponsive next to a ski run at Keystone Monday afternoon died.
The man, who the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said was 51 years old, was found at about 3:25 p.m. in the trees.
In a news release that was distributed Tuesday, the sheriff’s office did not say which run the man was found on. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Summit County Coroner will release the skier’s name when his family has been notified of his death, according to the release.
A 65-year-old skier died at Keystone late last year after he was found unconscious on a run.
There have been multiple other skier deaths in Colorado this year. Last week, a skier died after colliding with a tree in Eldora. Back in February, a skier suffocated after getting caught in a chairlift at Vail, and an 83-year-old man died in a half-pipe accident in Aspen.
