ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — An Arapahoe County woman who had been missing for more than three months has been found safe.
Sara Astatke was last seen about 5:45 p.m. Dec. 12, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said. Investigators were initially worried Astatke's disappearance had been caused by people she knew.
She was found safe more than 1,100 miles away in Greenwood, Mississippi, ACSO posted Wednesday afternoon. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said they are working with law enforcement in Mississippi to get more information.
Astatke was last seen leaving her home in the 2100 block of South Beeler Way. She was wearing a black coat, blue jeans, black shoes and a scarf the last time she had been seen, the sheriff's office said.
