While police believe they found the truck the suspect was driving, no arrests have been made yet.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — On Wednesday, authorities responded to a jewelry and antique store on West 38th Avenue for a shooting. Wheat Ridge Police later announced the truck of a homicide suspect had been found Friday afternoon

Investigators said Peter Damian Arguello, the store owner, was shot and killed in an attempted robbery.

"It's just so shocking and saddening to see that, I can't believe it," said Annie Pricola, a customer of Arguello's. "He was friendly, it's like somebody you'd want to hang out with and he would talk to you about anything."

Pricola knew Arguello for about a year. She first went in to have him look at her late mother's jewelry and later went back to get her engagement ring resized.

She told 9NEWS she spent hours inside the shop getting to know Arguello.

"He was really open and honest, like he would just tell you about anything and be really personable and he was really positive," she explained.

Police said Arguello was shot and killed around 11:15 a.m. Arguello owned a jewelry and antiques store on 38th Avenue. Police told 9News he was shot during an attempted robbery. The suspect took off.

While police believe the truck the suspect was driving was found, no arrests have been made. Those who knew Arguello have created a small memorial in his honor outside of his shop.

"He was the kind of person that, when you walked in, you felt like you knew him already. He was that easy to get along with, you know, I could see him being everyone’s friend," said Tony Pricola, another customer. "I hope justice is found. Karma comes full circle, and it's sad because I think Peter was one of those people that believed that, and that’s why he was such a kind person. And that’s what makes it so tragic that he was taken," he continued, choking back tears.

Wheat Ridge Police said the recovered truck is currently undergoing forensic investigation. Investigators have yet to release a suspect description.

Arguello's customers hope justice is soon served.

"I miss him," Annie Pricola said as she began to cry. "It's just a huge loss for the community."

A vigil is scheduled for Saturday, December 2 at 5:00pm outside of Arguello's shop.
