JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A death investigation is underway at Chatfield Reservoir after a man's body was found Tuesday morning, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said on social media.
Around 8:30 a.m. South Metro Fire Rescue said their dive team was responding to Chatfield State Park along with the sheriff's office and Colorado Parks and Wildlife for a possible water rescue.
The sheriff's office said it was determined the person was deceased. According to the agency, there were no visible signs of trauma on his body and the investigation into his cause of death is ongoing.
On Thursday, the Jefferson County Coroner identified the man as 48-year-old Grabiel Diaz. They're still working to determine his cause of death.
