PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. — A 39-year-old woman was killed in a shooting near Pagosa Springs in southwestern Colorado early Tuesday morning, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said.

Investigators said the woman was found in the 1000 block of Archuleta County Road 700, which is west of Pagosa Springs, after someone called 911 from the scene around 2:20 a.m. but didn't say anything.

On Wednesday, CBI said they believe the victim, identified as Crystal Snow, called 911 shortly before she died from her injuries. An autopsy found she died from multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide.

CBI agents believe she was killed in a "targeted" shooting and have identified "persons of interest"; however, no arrests have been made.

Investigators do not believe there is any active threat to the public.
