WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Police asked for help Tuesday in identifying a man who stole around $16,000 worth of welding and construction equipment from a Wheat Ridge business this month.
The theft occurred from GPT Industries located at 4990 Iris St., according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department.
Police said the theft occurred between 7 and 8:10 p.m. Oct. 1. The thief drove by the company, then returned and backed his truck into the business's drive, police said. Surveillance video released by police shows the man taking apart a cart and loading in into the bed of his truck.
The suspect had a winch in his truck, according to police, which leads them to believe the theft was planned.
