Teen killed in crash involving stolen SUV is identified

Chan Titi, 15, died after the crash on Interstate 225 Saturday. Aurora Police are investigating the crash that also injured three other teens.

AURORA, Colo. — A 15-year-old girl killed in a crash involving a stolen vehicle on Interstate 225 in Aurora over the weekend has been identified.

Chan Titi was identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office as the victim who died in the crash Saturday morning.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to Aurora Police.

In total, five teens in the stolen SUV were ejected after the vehicle rolled. Four of the teens were taken to hospitals, and another teen was released to their guardian at the scene of the crash, Aurora Police said.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. Saturday on I-225 near Alameda Avenue. Police said opened and unopened alcoholic containers were found in the SUV.

Excessive speed is also being considered a contributing factor in the crash, police said.

Investigators are in contact with the Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office about the potential filing of any charges.
