AURORA, Colo. — Five teens in a stolen car were ejected in a crash on Interstate 225 Saturday morning, Aurora Police said. One of the teens in the car later died.
Officers responded just after 7:30 a.m. to the single-vehicle rollover crash near Alameda Avenue. All of the teens were ejected from the car.
In all, four teens were rushed to area hospitals. A 15-year-old girl died later on Saturday, police said. The conditions on the other three teens were not known as of Saturday evening.
Another teen was checked out at the scene and released. Police said that teen was released to a guardian, and is known to police if any charges are filed.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
At around noon, Aurora Police said all lanes of northbound I-225 reopened after being closed following the crash.
