AURORA, Colo. — A suspect was arrested for a fatal shooting that happened last week at a Church's Texas Chicken, the Aurora Police Department (APD) said on Monday.
Jontaye Acoray Tassian, 24, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of second-degree murder in the shooting Friday at 11900 E. Colfax Ave., police said.
Officers responded to the shooting just before 5 p.m. Friday, where Aurora Police said a fight broke out between two men and a woman. As the fight escalated, one of the men shot the other one. The shooter and the woman fled the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. The victim's name hasn't been released.
Aurora Police said they don't believe the two parties knew each other.
