DENVER — An early morning shooting last week has left a man dead. Denver Police (DPD) said 21-year-old Winston Marquez-Morales was hit by gunfire in the parking lot of 3327 South Parker Rd. at about 3 a.m. Wednesday. That location is in southeast Denver near the Nine Mile RTD Station located at South Parker Road and Interstate 225.
Marquez-Morales was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead, police said.
Police are now asking anyone with information to report it to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or online at metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
