PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. — Two men who were shot and killed last week at Lake Pueblo State Park have been identified.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said Dustyn Courtney, 29, and Trevion Lucas, 20, both from Pueblo, were killed near Sailboard Beach just after midnight Friday.
CBI said a group of people were fishing from the shore on the north side of the lake, when Courtney and an unknown male got into an argument. The argument turned into a physical fight, and the unknown male pulled out a handgun and shot Courtney, CBI said.
Lucas was not involved in the dispute, and investigators are working to find out why he was shot, CBI said.
Witnesses said the shooter then left the park and is still on the run. CBI said they have not identified a suspect.
CBI, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office are all working on the case.
