DENVER — A man shot at officers with the Denver Police Department late Wednesday morning in west Denver, police said.
The shooting happened about 10:11 a.m. near the intersection of West Jewell Avenue and South Irving Street, according to police.
Officers were conducting a welfare check on a man who was slumped over in a vehicle when the man shot at the officers, police said.
Officers did not return fire and took the man into custody shortly after. There were no reports of injuries from the shooting, police said.
