CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Deputies are looking for the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a gas pump early Thursday morning.
At about 4 a.m., a Dodge Challenger crashed into a gas pump at the Conoco gas station at 6450 S. Broadway in Centennial, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies first spotted the Challenger driving northbound on South Broadway, going about 90 mph, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies tried to stop the car, but it sped up to more than 100 mph and eluded deputies, the sheriff's office said.
Witnesses said the driver lost control when they hit a curb and then crashed into the gas pump. Surveillance video of the crash shows the Challenger back up and drive away after the crash.
The damage caused by the crash is estimated at about $30,000, the sheriff's office said.
