Man found dead at cemetery; Denver police rule death a homicide

Officers were called to the cemetery just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

DENVER — Police in Denver are investigating a man's death, after his body was found inside the grounds of a cemetery Saturday afternoon.

Denver Police said they received a call just after 2:30 p.m. that a man's body had been discovered at Fairmount Cemetery off of South Quebec Street and East Alameda Avenue

The man's death was ruled a homicide. 

A cause of death and identity will be released at a later time by the Denver Medical Examiner's Office.

Anyone who may have information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
