Police looking for suspect involved in aggravated robbery

Denver Police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who was involved in an aggravated robbery on Jan. 5.

The Denver Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery on Jan. 5.

DENVER — The Denver Police Department (DPD) asked for the public's help Monday finding a suspect wanted for an aggravated robbery.

The robbery happened Jan. 5 at an ATM in the 1700 block of West 38th Avenue, according to police. The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

He was seen wearing a black face mask, a blue zip-up hoodie, black pants, two gold chains, glasses and a New York baseball hat. The suspect was armed with a semiautomatic handgun tucked in his pants, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
