COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Police have detained a person of interest in a deadly shooting at a park in Commerce City Saturday.
The Commerce City Police Department said officers responded to the parking lot of Pioneer Park, located at Holly Street and East 60th Ave, for a shooting and found a deceased man.
Police said a person of interest has been detained.
No information about the circumstances of the shooting has been released, but police said it was contained to the parking lot.
Police said the shooting Saturday evening was unrelated to one that happened Friday night in a 7-Eleven parking lot near the intersection of East 104th Avenue and Hwy. 85 in Henderson. A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in that shooting. No suspects have been arrested.
