COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Commerce City Police Department said a person they were looking for in connection with a fatal shooting has turned himself in.
The shooting happened Monday morning near East 78th Avenue and Dahlia Street in Commerce City. According to police, the victim was a man in his mid-20s. His name has not yet been released. Police believe the suspect and the victim knew each other.
According to police, 19-year-old Angel Lozano turned himself in Monday evening. Commerce City Police previously identified him as a person of interest.
Lozano was arrested and booked into the Adams County jail. He is due in court Friday, Jan. 5. It is unclear what charges Lozano is facing.
