Victim located safely, suspect arrested in Aurora kidnapping

Police arrested 47-year-old Middell Harper in connection to the assault and kidnapping.

AURORA, Colo. — A woman has been found safe and a man has been arrested in connection to an assault and kidnapping in Aurora on Dec. 29. 

On Wednesday, Aurora Police took 47-year-old Middell Harper into custody for kidnapping and second-degree assault.

At about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 29, officers with Aurora Police responded to a report of an assault near North Shawnee Street and East 42nd Avenue. When officers arrived, all individuals and the suspect vehicle were gone, police said.

Witnesses told police that a man armed with a gun violently assaulted a woman, then forced her into a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
