COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Aurora was arrested in Commerce City Friday night.
The Commerce City Police Department said Sergio Junior Macias got into a stolen vehicle when he saw their officers near East 64th Avenue and Glencoe Street and hit several parked cars before driving off.
Commerce City officers pursued him, and he bailed out of the vehicle at East 73rd Avenue and Oneida Street and ran off. He was caught near East 74th Avenue and Garden Court with help from the Denver Police Department, the Adams County Sheriff's Office and the Safe Streets Task Force.
Macias was wanted for second-degree murder in connection with a shooting on Feb. 1 near East Florida Avenue and South Peoria Street that killed a 33-year-old man.
