BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder police believe the same man attacked two women in the city this month.
On the evening of May 3, a woman was gardening outside her home in the 1800 block of Spruce Court when a man came up behind her fully clothed and rubbed his genitals against her buttocks, simulating a sexual act.
The woman stood up and threw weeds at him. The man made a comment about the victim’s physical appearance and rode off on his bicycle westbound towards an alley on Spruce Street.
Investigators believe the same man attacked a woman on May 6, at approximately 5:45 a.m., on a footpath in North Boulder.
The female victim was jogging in a neighborhood on Vinca Court near Spotswood Place when a man rode past her on a bicycle and slapped her buttocks. The suspect rode a short distance, dismounted from his bicycle and grabbed the victim in a bear hug. The victim screamed for help while struggling with the suspect.
During the struggle, the suspect grabbed the victim in a sexual manner. The victim was able to keep from being pushed to the ground. The suspect grabbed the victim’s cell phone and fled eastbound towards 26th on his bicycle. A neighbor heard the victim screaming and went outside to assist.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 19 to 25 years old, between 5 feet 9 inches tall and 6 feet 1 inch tall. He weighs between 195 and 200 pounds. The suspect’s bicycle is described as black and red BMX style bike, which is similar in description to the earlier incident.
