The final weekend of June opens the 102nd Greeley Stampede while Morgan Wallen headlines Colorado's largest stadium twice.

COLORADO, USA — From festivals and fairs to expos and runs, there's lots to do, see and explore in Colorado this final weekend of June.

The Greeley Stampede is celebrating its 102nd anniversary while country star Morgan Wallen is performing two concerts at the Denver Broncos' stadium.

Diana Ross, 311, Third Eye Blind, Nas, Vanilla Ice, Smash Mouth, Modest Mouse, and the Pixies have concerts planned in Colorado this weekend.

Colorado is known for terrific festivals, concerts, sporting events and the arts. Celebrate the season this weekend by experiencing the unique culture, food and geography that makes our state so special.

Greeley Stampede

GREELEY — Prepare yourself for summer nights, rodeos, concerts and funnel cakes — the 102nd annual Greeley Stampede is here. The Greeley Stampede opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday, July 7. This extends the Greeley Stampede past its traditional Independence Day closing date. The 2024 concert lineup at the Greeley Stampede features Old Dominion, T.I., Cheap Trick, Chris Young, We the Kingdom, and more.

Morgan Wallen

DENVER — Country music superstar Morgan Wallen is ready for two sold-out concerts at Colorado's largest stadium. Wallen will perform at Empower Field at Mile High on Thursday and Friday on his "One Night at a Time" 2024 tour. The stadium concerts will feature support from Jon Pardi, Nate Smith, and Bryan Martin

Wallen and Post Malone topped the Billboard Hot 100 last week with their collaboration "I Had Some Help." Last year, Wallen topped the charts with "Last Night," his first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, holding that position for 16 weeks.

Colorado Lavender Festival 

PALISADE — Western Colorado is much more than peaches and corn. The Western Slope is now home to a booming lavender industry. Snowmelt waters from the Rockies nourish high altitude farms where lavender thrives. The annual Colorado Lavender Festival is this weekend in beautiful Palisade. The festival celebrates lavender with sights, treats, tours, seminars, demos, shopping and food. The main festival at Riverbend Park runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Eagle Flight Days 

EAGLE — Since the county seat was “stolen” from Red Cliff and moved to Eagle in 1922, the town has celebrated with the annual Eagle Flight Days. The event returns Friday and Saturday to Town Park and includes a Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, parade down Broadway, live music, kids zone and more. Blues from the Top Music Festival

WINTER PARK — Three full days of live music and vendors will take over the Rendezvous Event Center in Winter Park for the 22nd annual Blues From the Top Music Festival. Among this weekend’s performers are Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Charlie Musselwhite, Eric Gales, Canned Heat and more. TheBigWonderful

WINTER PARK — TheBigWonderful is bringing its summer session back to Winter Park Resort with a beer fest, bluegrass music, and a bazaar on Saturday. Breweries, cideries, and distilleries will line up at the base of the resort and throughout the village, pouring unlimited samples for thirsty hikers, bikers, and music lovers. There will be live bluegrass bands and 40+ craft vendors offering a variety of outdoor apparel, jewelry and fashions.

Ridgway RiverFest

RIDGWAY — The 16th annual Ridgway RiverFest is this Saturday at Rollans Park. The festival is a family friendly celebration of the Uncompahgre River and features all-age river races, live music, local food and drink, kids’ activities, rubber duck hunt, watershed educational and cultural programs. The highlight of the event is the “Junk of the Unc” race in which boaters maneuver their craft, constructed from scrap materials not intended for river travel, through whitewater rapids and others’ junk, trying to keep it all intact for the 0.5 mile finish line.

I Love The 90's Tour

GREENWOOD VILLAGE — The Kool Koncert 2024 begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fiddler's Green Ampitheatre. The "I Love The 90's" concert features Vanilla Ice, Smash Mouth, Tone Loc, Tag Team, and Color Me Badd. Tickets are sold at AXS.com.

Pixies and Modest Mouse

GREENWOOD VILLAGE — Pixies, Modest Mouse and Cat Power have teamed for a concert at Fiddler's Green Ampitheatre. 

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Sunday with the show at 6:30 p.m. AXS.com is the main ticket seller.

Blink-182

DENVER — Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker are ready to tour one more time. Blink-182 bring the "One More Time" tour to Ball Arena in Denver on Thursday. The 7 p.m. concert will feature special guest Pierce the Veil. Ticketmaster.com is the source for Blink-182 tickets.

New Kids on the Block

DENVER — New Kids on the Block are bringing the magic back to Denver this weekend. The pop icons bring "The Magic Summer 2024 Tour" to Ball Arena in Denver on Friday. Donnie, Joey, Jordan, Jonathan, and Danny will perform with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff. Tickets are sold at Ticketmaster.com.

Odesza

BOULDER — American electronic music duo Odesza is bringing its tour to a close. Odesza has announced the end of "The Last Goodbye Tour" that began in 2022. Odesza will perform at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado in Boulder on Saturday, with special guests Bob Moses, Big Boi and Golden Features.

Endless Sunshine

DENVER — Endless Sunshine, an rock festival produced by AEG Rocky Mountains and hosted by Civic Center Conservancy, is Saturday at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. Artists on the schedule include Teddy Swims, Thee Sacred Souls, Sam Barber, Even Honer, Rootbeer Richie and the Reville, and Dogtags.

4th of July fireworks

LIMON — 4th of July comes early in Limon. Saturday is the largest fireworks display in eastern Colorado, plus a 5K, food and vendors in Limon.

Frozen

DENVER — The stage musical adaption of Disney's "Frozen" is back in Colorado. "Frozen" will be performed at the Buell Theatre in Denver through Wednesday, July 3. Tickets are available at DenverCenter.org. Denver Center for the Performing Arts is also running a digital ticket lottery with a limited number of tickets be available for $31 each in the lottery at Lucky Seat. "Frozen" first made its made its pre-Broadway engagement at the Buell in 2017.

CENTRAL CITY — For one day in June, Central City's historic Main Street turns into one big speakeasy with dozens of Colorado craft distilleries and hundreds of varieties of spirits. The 10th annual Stills in the Hills runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The event is all ages and family friendly as there will also be food and art vendors along the street as well as music performers playing throughout the day.

Telluride Yoga Festival

TELLURIDE — The Telluride Yoga Festival is a four-day event with over 100 offerings including yoga, meditation, music, hiking, dining, SUP yoga, social gatherings and more. The 16th annual festival takes place from Thursday to Sunday. Single-day or multi-day immersion passes can be purchased at TellurideYogaFestival.com.

Pollinator Palooza Celebration

WESTMINSTER — Butterfly Pavilion will host the Pollinator Palooza Festival on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The hybrid outdoor and indoor pollinator extravaganza will have all-day live entertainment. The event is included with general admission and free for members. Pollinator Palooza aims to raise awareness about the challenges facing pollinators, such as habitat loss and pesticide use.

Freedom 4-Miler Charity Run

LONE TREE — The 7th annual Freedom 4 Miler (formally the Lone Tree Freedom Race) is a four-mile and one-mile fun run. Hosted by Colorado Veterans Project, the run will take place Saturday at the Charles Schwab Campus in Lone Tree. Registration is available at FreedomFourMiler.com.

Colorado Renaissance Festival

LARKSPUR — Take a magical tour through time and legend at the annual Colorado Renaissance Festival. The village streets of the festival are full of artisans selling original art, fresh baked goods, roasted turkey legs, steak on a stake and much more. There will be jousting, comedy shows and a cast of hundreds walking and performing throughout the faire. The Renaissance Festival runs on weekends through the first weekend of August. Discovering Teen Rex

DENVER — A rare dinosaur fossil is now on display at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. A juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex fossil that was discovered in the North Dakota badlands will be featured at the museum's new temporary exhibit "Discovering Teen Rex." The fossil is one of only a handful of juvenile T. rex skeletons that has ever been found.

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science said the T. rex fossil was discovered by a family on a hike in 2022. The family contacted the museum who returned to the site to excavate the fossil in 2023. The public will be able to see the fossil being prepped in real time at the museum exhibit, as well as an array of dinosaur fossils, including Triceratops and Edmontosaurus.

Denver Trolley

DENVER — The last operating trolley in Denver has begun summer operations. The Denver Trolley has run along the South Platte River for more than 30 years. This summer, the trolley will operate Thursdays through Mondays beginning at 10 a.m. with the last departure at 5 p.m. The Denver Trolley departs from the home platform at REI/Confluence Park every 30 minutes. Roundtrip rides last about 25 minutes and include a narration about the surrounding area.

Broadway’s Next Hit Musical

DENVER — "Broadway’s Next Hit Musical" is the only unscripted theatrical awards show. Audience members write down made up song titles and the show's master improvisers gather the suggestions and present them as “nominated songs” for this coveted award.  "Broadway’s Next Hit Musical" creates spontaneous scenes and songs filled with dancing, catchy melodies and laughter. "Broadway’s Next Hit Musical" plays at the Garner Galleria Theatre at the Denver Performing Arts Complex through Sunday.

Shakespeare in the Sangres

WESTCLIFFE — The Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts’ "Shakespeare in the Sangres" runs through July 7 with "As you Like It" by William Shakespeare. Plays are held in the Historic Jones Theater that has been restored to its original 1930s glamour. In a rural community of less than 5,000 county residents, Westcliffe has a robust schedule of cultural and artistic performances presented by a dedicated group of professional actors. City Park Jazz 

DENVER — City Park Jazz is back in Denver. Afro fusion band Hazel Miller and the Collective headlines the fourth week of the festival at Denver's pavilion City Park at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The 2024 season will continue each Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through early August.

Red Rocks

DENVER — There is no better venue for live music in the country than Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The Red Rocks 2024 concert schedule (announced so far) is still growing and this spring and summer looks to be one for the record books.

CASCADE — Colorado's favorite Christmas-themed amusement park has opened for the season. Home to Santa's village and the jolly old elf himself, The North Pole: Santa’s Workshop, located at 7,500 feet at the foot of Pikes Peak west of Colorado Springs, traditionally opens the weekend before Memorial Day and remains open through Christmas. With vintage rides and sweet treats, the park as been spreading Christmas cheer since 1956.

City Park Farmers Market

DENVER — The City Park Farmers Market is celebrating its fourth season. The market has more than 100 vendors offering a variety of local Colorado produce and products from area farmers, food producers and agriculture-based brands. The market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October. Other activations include a run club at 8 a.m., donation-based yoga at 9 a.m. and live music from local acts.

88 Drive-In Theatre 

COMMERCE CITY — The only drive-in movie theater in the Denver metro area reopened for a 48th summer season. Tickets are $10 per person, and children under 12 are free. Tickets are sold only at the box office starting at 7 p.m. for that evening's program.

Movies this weekend

In just a week and a half, “Inside Out 2” is 2024’s highest-grossing film to date with $724.4 million globally. The Pixar sequel collected $100 million in ticket sales in its second weekend. Only six movies ever have had better second weekends.

This weekend, the sci-fi horror prequel “A Quiet Place: Day One” and Kevin Costner's Western epic “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1" will hope some of the “Inside Out 2” success rubs off on them.
