All signs point to Halloween with spooky fairs, festivals, parades and haunted houses in all corners of the Centennial State.

COLORADO, USA — Colorado is ready for Halloween.

This weekend offers dozens of Halloween and fall harvest events for kids and adults. Soak in autumn this weekend at one of dozens of corn mazes and haunted houses, or at an autumn festivals in Westminster, Colorado Springs and Denver.

The Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Travis Scott, Shinedown, and "The Tina Turner Musical" will all perform in the Mile High City.

Westy Fest

WESTMINSTER — The Westminster Halloween Harvest Festival is now Westy Fest. The free event is Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Westminster's City Park. There will be carnival games, trick or treating, hot air balloons, live music, food trucks, jumping castles, and pumpkin patch.

Pumpkins in the Park 

COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs' Old Colorado City will host its Pumpkins in the Park  on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The festival offers a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, face painting, balloon artist, kids’ zone, sidewalk sales, fall crafts, and live music at Bancroft Park.

Fall Flannel Fest

DENVER — Dairy Block and Denver Milk Market are hosting their 6th annual Fall Flannel Fest on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Held in the Dairy Block Alley in LoDo, the free event offers live music, face paintings, a Denver Aquarium exhibit, and fall-themed photo booth. Kids will can trick or treat through the Alley and around the block, with candy bags provided. Come dressed in your favorite flannel or Halloween costume.

Treat Street

AURORA — Kids and families are in for two days of safe trick-or-treating, games and activities as part of Treat Street at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. Treat Street will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to trick-or-treating stations, the Fairgrounds will offer an animal petting farm, live entertainment, costume contests, pumpkin painting, food trucks, face painting, hayrides, haunted house, and inflatable corn maze.

DENVER — The Broadway Halloween Parade is back again. The Halloween parade offers spooky bands, floats and groups in fun, community-friendly fashion. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costumes because everyone will get to march in the street after the parade. The parade travels down Broadway from 5th Avenue to Alameda Avenue through Denver's South Broadway area.

Tina — The Tina Turner Musical

DENVER — "Tina — The Tina Turner Musical" is the newest Broadway smash to tour to Denver's Buell Theatre. The musical follows the career of Tina Turner who became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll. Featuring Turner's most beloved hits, the electrifying musical will send you soaring to the rafters. The show plays the Buell Theatre through Sunday, Oct. 29. Mysteries of the Ice Ages

DENVER — Mysteries of the Ice Ages is the newest exhibition at Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Embark on a journey through Earth's icy history and discover the fascinating stories of ice and adaptation through hundreds of artifacts, fossils, models and interactive experiences. Guests will see authentic tools and artifacts, some never before exhibited, used by Neanderthals, early humans and Arctic peoples, and discover lands lost long ago under the world’s oceans. Mysteries of the Ice Ages opens Friday.

Empower Field at Mile High


Green Bay Packers vs. Denver Broncos

DENVER — The Denver Broncos are ready to save their season. Head coach Sean Payton, quarterback Russell Wilson, and the Broncos (1-5) host the Green Bay Packers (2-3) at 2:25 p.m. Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. Some tickets are available for resale at Ticketmaster.com.

Colorado Avalanche

DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche hockey club will make its regular season home debut on Thursday, Oct. 19. The Avalanche host the Chicago Blackhawks at Ball Arena at 8:30 p.m.

The Colorado Avalanche return to the ice at Ball Arena on Saturday as they host the Carolina Hurricanes. The puck drop is at 7 p.m.

DENVER — Shinedown brings its "Revolutions Live Tour" to Ball Arena on Friday. The cross-country tour also features support from Papa Roach and Spiritbox. Shinedown said its music video for “Daylight” is a love letter to their fans with a message that you are never alone.

DENVER — The "UTOPIA - Circus Maximus Tour" is headed to Colorado this weekend. Travis Scott, who said that his North American tour will transport fans into an unparalleled audiovisual experience, will make a Denver stop at Ball Arena on Sunday. Scott's "UTOPIA" album has been deemed the biggest hip-hop release of 2023, garnering over 1.5 billion streams globally.

Hauntings in the Hangar

DENVER — Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is hosting its annual Hauntings in the Hangar event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Festive activities include crafts, a black hole listening station, trick or treat candy stations, photo booth, and a magic show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are available at WingsMuseum.org.

Harvest Haunt

GOLDEN — Colorado Railroad Museum’s annual Harvest Haunt on Saturday and Sunday features the Olde Railroaders Silly Graveyard, “not-so-spooky” Haunted Railcars, a hay bale maze, and musical ensembles performing throughout the day in the outdoor pavilion. An authentic, coal-burning Colorado steam locomotive will pull trains for this event.

Boo at the Bridge

CAÑON CITY — The Royal Gorge Bridge Park’s 9th annual "Boo at the Bridge" takes place Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The festive event features trick-or-treat goodies dished out by local businesses and non-profits, entertainment and games. COLORADO SPRINGS — The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo begins its annual Halloween celebration this Friday. Boo at the Zoo will have fun trick-or-treat stations with candy made with sustainable palm oil to help protect wild orangutans. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes for the festivities which take place Friday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the next two weekends and on Halloween night. Boo at the Zoo tickets can be bought online at CMZoo.org.

Wild Fall

DENVER — Denver has been transformed for "falloween" fun to celebrate all wildlife this month. Wild Fall at Denver Zoo features roaming costumed characters, creature-themed professional pumpkin carvings, festive food and spooky drinks, and special animal demonstrations that connect these supernatural beings to the real-life natural world. Wild Fall activities are free with daytime admission and take place during regular hours starting at 8:30 a.m. for members and 10 a.m. for the general public.

Spirits & Spirits

DENVER — Four Mile Historic Park’s Spirits & Spirits is a Halloween-themed event that gives attendees an opportunity to explore the grounds after dark while entering the otherworldly realm of Victorian Spiritualism. Scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m., adult libations, delectable provisions, and fantastical amusements will be offered. Attendees will also revel in a variety of entertainment on the Sundry Stage featuring drag bingo, live music, and mystical performances. Guests can also find their way to aura photography, flash tattoos, tarot reading, and tours of the Four Mile House for a Victorian mourning ceremony.

Haunted Forest 

HIGHLANDS RANCH — Highlands Ranch Community Association opens the gates of the Backcountry Wilderness Area Haunted Forest to reveal sinister scenes for two nights, Friday and Saturday. Discover what’s lurking behind every tree and bush in this three-quarter-mile creep through the woods. The Haunted Forest walk begins at the Rocky Heights Middle School trailhead. Tickets are sold online. Tickets will be available at the door, if not sold out.

Victorian Horrors at the Molly Brown House

DENVER — Molly Brown House Museum is hosting the 30th annual Victorian Horrors on weekends this October. Gothic horror tales by well-known but long-gone authors are told throughout the house as portrayed by acclaimed local actors. This year’s offerings include stories from the likes of H.G. Wells and Edgar Allan Poe alongside the local spirit of Mary Coyle Chase. Tickets to attend Victorian Horrors are available with admission times every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Craft Spirits Festival 

ESTES PARK — The Rocky Mountain Craft Spirits Festival showcases the finest spirits in Colorado. The event also features live music, bar games, talks featuring industry experts, a whiskey seminar, and craft spirit tasting. Admission includes a souvenir tasting glass. The festival runs 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Estes Park Events Center.

Sip in Centennial

CENTENNIAL — The City of Centennial’s annual Sip in Centennial takes place on Saturday at Centennial Center Park. The event features local craft whiskey and spirits distillers, live music and food trucks. Admission into the event is free and open to all ages, but to participate in the whiskey tasting you must be 21 years or older. Live music from Mojomama and Chancer's Hooley will be in the park amphitheater so bring your chairs and blankets.

Q BBQ Fest

BOULDER — The University of Colorado’s Folsom Field will host the Q BBQ Fest on Friday and Saturday. The event will bring more than ten world-class pitmasters for a weekend of food and fun. BBQ lovers will be able to feast on a variety of brisket, chicken pulled pork and ribs in the shadow of the Flatirons while enjoying live music, BBQ tutorials and demonstrations.

Whale of a Used Book Sale 

GOLDEN — It’s an ocean of deals at the Fall Whale of a Used Book Sale sponsored by Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library this weekend. The event runs Thursday to Sunday in the massive exhibit hall of the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. The sale boasts more than 100,000 books, DVDs, records, gift baskets, puzzles, maps and audio books. Admission is $5 per person.

Ghosts & Goblins 5K

Repticon

AURORA — Reptile and exotic pet lovers, breeders and educators won't want to miss this weekend's Repticon. The event will feature thousands of reptiles and other exotic pets and advice directly from top quality breeders. You'll be able to see live reptiles up close at animal encounters and seminars on the hour each day. Repticon is set for Saturday and Sunday at Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.

4 Seasons Marketplace

ARVADA — 4 Seasons Marketplace in Arvada is a pumpkin patch and family destination for fall. The marketplace has a variety of pumpkins, pumpkin painting, farm animal visits, and family activities. Adult admission is free and children can enjoy all activities for $15 and get to take home a pumpkin as a souvenir.

Nick's Garden Center Fall Fest 

AURORA — Nick's Garden Center and Farm Market in Aurora hosts a fall festival every day in October. There are games, rides, mazes, train rides, photo opportunities, straw maze, putt-putt golf course, pedal karts, an inflatable obstacle course and pumpkin patch.

Mollie McGee's Annual Fall Craft Market

BOULDER — Mollie McGee’s Annual Fall Craft Market will have more than 150 boots with handmade artisan crafts. The market opens Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boulder County Fairgrounds.

Miners’ Pumpkin Patch

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Western Museum of Mining & Industry has opened its 2023 Miners' Pumpkin Patch. Admission includes unlimited play at the pumpkin patch games, hayrides and gold panning. The patch will be open Saturdays through Oct. 28.

Mile High Farms

BENNETT — A traditional Colorado fall event is back east of Denver. Mile High Farms is open for autumn with two corn mazes, antique tractor ride, pumpkin patch, barrel cart rides, bounce houses, farm animals, entertainment, playground and more. Mile High Farms is located just east of Denver off Interstate 70 and Manila Road. Tickets and a maze map can be found at MileHighFarms.com.

Anderson Farms Fall Festival 

ERIE — The fall festival at Anderson Farms just may be your one-stop-shop for all things autumn. The festival features a 25-acre corn maze, wagon rides, pumpkin cannon, combine slide, kids maze, backyard pedal karts, wooden train, tire mountain, fire pit, farm animals, sand diggers and more. The farm's fall festival runs through Monday, Oct. 30. Ticket options can be found at AndersonFarms.com.

Fritzler Farm Park

LaSALLE — Fritzler Farm Park is open for the season with more than 15 attractions plus its famous corn maze. There will be pedal go-carts, pumpkin patch, human foosball, tetherball, ball zone, slide mountain, face painting, yard games, beer garden and more. Fritzler Farm Park will remain open through Sunday, Oct. 29. The farm's haunted attractions and "Scream Acres" begins at dusk. Tickets can be purchased at FritzlerFarmPark.com.

Corn Maze at Chatfield Farms

LITTLETON — If you're looking for a festive fall tradition, consider the Corn Maze at Chatfield Farms. The seven-acre corn maze corn maze is perfect for adults, while the little ones can explore the corn mini-maze. There will also be barrel train rides, escape rooms, food vendors and more. The Corn Maze at Chatfield Farms will be open at various times through Sunday, Oct. 29. Tickets can be found at BotanicGardens.org.

Maize in the City

THORNTON — If you're looking for a fun, fall event, consider Maize in the City in Thornton. There is a 20-acre corn maze, mini maze, barrel train ride, corn launcher, petting zoo and more. Admission to the Maize in the City site is free with attraction ticket prices varying. The site will be open various days through Tuesday, Oct. 31. THORNTON — Haunted Field of Screams, Colorado’s largest haunted attraction, has opened for the 2023 season. Built into a 40-acre corn field, the attraction delivers an indoor and outdoor haunt experience along the famously haunted Riverdale Road. Haunted Field of Screams is open select days through Halloween.

COLORADO — Colorado's haunted houses of the autumn season are ready for Halloween. HellScream Haunted House, 13th Floor Haunted House and Frightmare Compound have opened in Denver and the Fear Complex Haunted House is running in Colorado Springs.

Magic of the Jack O' Lanterns

LITTLETON — A Halloween lights festival is returning to Hudson Gardens in Littleton for a third year. Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns features a family-friendly glowing trail of more than 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins as well as light show displays such as a nautical seascape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs, and dragons. The festival runs select nights through Tuesday, Oct. 31.

DENVER — Elitch Gardens' annual Halloween event is back with a vengeance. The Fright Fest fall festival kicks off Saturday for five weekends of hair-raising fun. Red Rocks

DENVER — There is no better venue for live music in the country than Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre and although summer is flying by, but there's still time to catch a show at one of the world's best venues.

Concerts at Red Rocks are scheduled through Friday, Nov. 12, when Of the Trees with Barclay Crenshaw, Yheti, kLL sMTH, and The Librarian close out the 2023 season.

Cabaret

AURORA — "Cabaret" is the newest musical at Aurora's Vintage Theatre. "Cabaret" is set in Berlin during the twilight of the Jazz Age at the seedy Kit Kat Klub a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the cabaret. The musical focuses on the hedonistic nightlife and revolves around American writer Clifford Bradshaw’s relations with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles as the Nazis are ascending to power. The musical plays the Vintage Theatre through Sunday, Oct. 22.

Cadillac Crew

AURORA — "Cadillac Crew" opens Friday at Vintage Theatre in Aurora. "Cadillac Crew" reclaims the stories of the forgotten leaders who blazed the trail for desegregation and women’s rights. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Monday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $34 and available by calling 303-856-7830 or VintageTheatre.org.

The Cherry Orchard

GOLDEN — Miners Alley Playhouse's latest theatrical production is "The Cherry Orchard: A Comedy in Four Acts" by Anton Chekhov in a new version by Stephen Karam. Miners Alley’s interpretation is set to captivate audiences through its exploration of human nature, societal changes, and the passage of time with a funny and bittersweet undertone. "The Cherry Orchard" is set to run through Sunday, Nov. 5, at Miners Alley Playhouse.

Movies this weekend

Theater goers were, in fact, ready for it. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” opened to a massive, first place debut between $95 million and $97 million in North America, AMC Theatres said.

It’s easily the biggest opening for a concert film of all time, and, not accounting for inflation, has made more than the $73 million “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” earned in 2011.
