DENVER — The largest indoor arena in Colorado is preparing for a busy week.
Ball Arena in Denver will host concerts, ice hockey and basketball events this week. Eight events are planned over eight days through Sunday.
The Denver Nuggets will hold their regular season opener on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Home to the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, Ball Arena opened in downtown Denver on Oct. 1, 1999, with a sold-out concert by Celine Dion.
Formerly known as the Pepsi Center, the arena seats up to 20,000 for concerts and other events. Ball Arena hosts more than 250 events each year.
Peter Gabriel
Peter Gabriel brought his massive North American concert tour to Colorado on Monday. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and former Genesis lead singer performed at Ball Arena for his "i/o - The Tour."
"i/o - The Tour" features Gabriel playing new material from his upcoming album, as well as his hits and fan favorites. Gabriel is being joined by regular bandmates Tony Levin, David Rhodes, and Manu Katché.
Joji
Joji will bring his new arena tour to Ball Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The singer-songwriter, also known as George Kusunoki Miller, announced his “Pandemonium Tour” date in Denver will also feature Kenny Beats, Lil Toe (Ammo), and Savage Realm.
SZA
SZA is about to perform her biggest concert to date in Colorado.
The Grammy Award-winner, whose real name is Solána Rowe, will bring her "S.O.S." world tour to Denver's Ball Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
The S.O.S. Tour is her first-ever arena tour. SZA’s sophomore album "SOS" was released in December.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks
The Colorado Avalanche hockey club will make its regular season home debut on Thursday, Oct. 19.
The Avalanche host the Chicago Blackhawks at Ball Arena at 8:30 p.m.
Shinedown
Shinedown brings its "Revolutions Live Tour" to Ball Arena on Friday, Oct. 20.
The cross-country tour also features support from Papa Roach and Spiritbox.
Shinedown said its music video for “Daylight” is a love letter to their fans with a message that you are never alone.
Colorado Avalanche vs. Carolina Hurricanes
The Colorado Avalanche return to the ice at Ball Arena on Saturday, Oct. 21 as they host the Carolina Hurricanes.
The puck drop is at 7 p.m.
Travis Scott
The "UTOPIA - Circus Maximus Tour" is headed to Colorado this weekend.
Travis Scott, who said that his North American tour will transport fans into an unparalleled audiovisual experience, will make a Denver stop at Ball Arena on Sunday, Oct. 22.
Scott's "UTOPIA" album has been deemed the biggest hip-hop release of 2023, garnering over 1.5 billion streams globally.
