2 rescued from fire in Commerce City home

Firefighters said the fire started around 1:30 p.m. at a home on Kearney Street near 62nd Avenue.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Two people were rescued from a fire in a Commerce City home Monday afternoon, the South Adams County Fire Department said. 

Firefighters said the fire started around 1:30 p.m. at a home on Kearney Street near 62nd Avenue. Firefighters rescued two people through the basement window wells. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, firefighters said. 

Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
