How much will it snow on Saturday?

It's going to feel a lot more like winter than it has in recent weeks.

Traveling Friday? So is almost everyone else.

In fact, Denver International Airport expects 189,000 passengers to pass through on Friday – and 2.5 million travelers between Dec. 19 and New Year's Day.

If you're staying in town or driving to your destination, we have some good news (but you won't like it if you were banking on a white Christmas in the Denver metro area).

FORECAST: Your Weather Forecast

Temperatures on Friday will reach the upper 30s to lower 40s, with plenty of sunshine in the Denver metro area and some much-needed snow in the mountains – especially father north.

It will be very windy in the foothills, with gusts reaching 60 miles per hour west of Boulder.

Expect average temperatures on Christmas Eve, with a cold morning and then highs from 38 to 42 degrees.

Temperatures will warm up on Christmas, with afternoon highs from 41 to 45 degrees.
