Snow postpones concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Concerts by Tale of Us and Madeon were postponed due to winter weather.

DENVER — The first snow of the winter season will keep concertgoers from attending outdoor shows in Denver.

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre has postponed the Tale Of Us show scheduled for Saturday evening.

"With snow currently sticking to the pavement at Red Rocks and with a winter weather advisory and 6-14 inches of expected snow, for patron safety Tonight’s Tale Of US concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre is postponed," the concert's promotor AEG said.

"Tale Of Us very much wanted to host tonight’s show, however, with the extremely steep roads accessing the stage and the heavy snow coming this afternoon in the foothills for everyone’s safety we made the difficult decision to postpone tonight’s show."

All tickets will be valid for the to be determined date and refunds are available at point of purchase.

A concert by Madeon on Sunday was also postponed. It will now take place Nov. 9.

A Winter Storm Warning was issued for the Denver area, with 5 to 12 inches of snow the most likely snowfall range across most of the metro area, although snowfall amounts will vary widely across a small area.
