Storm causes flooding in southern Denver metro area

KUSA - Flooding was spotted on Broadway and Santa Fe Drive in Littleton Tuesday afternoon as a fast-moving storm dumped up to two inches of rain in 30 minutes in the south metro area.

Hail was also spotted in Lakewood, and a large swath of the Front Range was placed under a severe thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning.

Video from 9NEWS viewers showed hail and even flooding off Santa Fe near Arapahoe Community College.

The storm started moving east from the foothills at the start of the evening commute.

One 9NEWS viewer saw a truck tow a Mazda out of a flooded section of Santa Fe underneath Oxford.

The Colorado Rockies went into a weather delay due to the storm.
