After a snowy Saturday, temperatures plummeted on Sunday.
The Colorado Department of Transportation and Colorado State Patrol had their hands full as crashes around the state snarled traffic from Interstate 70 to side streets in Colorado Springs.
Denver International Airport has experienced 598 delayed flights and 53 cancellations on Sunday, according to FlightAware.com.

Traveling in and out of the High Country will remain tough as heavy snow and gusty winds continue through early Monday. Roads will be icy and snow-packed, and visibility will be extremely limited.

Denver Public Works said residential plows were out in the city starting at 3 a.m. Sunday.
According to the department, these plows will make at least a single pass down the center of every residential road.
