ST FRANCIS, Kan. — Seeing one funnel cloud is impressive enough, but spotting two at once is something that would be hard to forget.
Viewer Andrea Louthan said she spotted the two funnel clouds on Saturday afternoon near St. Francis, Kansas – a town off Highway 36 there’s not too far from the Colorado state line.
Those funnel clouds both touched down as tornadoes.
There was severe weather throughout the Eastern Plains on Saturday afternoon, as well as thunderstorms and hail in the Denver metro area.
Another tornado was spotted in Elbert County south of Elizabeth.
Baseball-sized hail fell in Castle Rock.
